Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District English as a Second Language Program  Ketchikan, Alaska Home Our Students Forms in Spanish Our Services Our Staff Forms in Tagalog                                                           OUR SERVICES Elementary:  At the elementary schools, we serve students by teaming with the classroom teachers to determine the best way to meet the students’ needs.  This may include individual or small group instruction which is delivered by an ESL teacher.   ESL paraprofessional may also tutor individual students or small groups using materials and directions provided by the classroom teacher.  The paraprofessional may also work in the classroom under the direction of the classroom teacher. Secondary:  At the secondary level, we serve students by teaching various levels of ESL classes on an as-needed basis.  A study hall is also available for those who need assistance with their academic classes.
